Wrinkles - How Do They Form and How to Get Rid of Them

Once you understand how skin wrinkles actually form, it becomes quite clear how you can get rid of them without spending money on topical creams, patches, or surgeries.

What Are Wrinkles?

Wrinkles are folds in your skin. As you age, your skin produces less collagen and elastin proteins. This will get your skin thinner and less resistant to damage. Environmental exposure, dehydration, and toxins can increase the likelihood of visible wrinkles on your face.

How Do They Form and How to Get Rid of Them?

Wrinkles are formed due to a combination of factors — some you can control, others you can't, here are some of them:

1. Age: As you are getting older, your skin naturally becomes less elastic and more fragile. Decreased production of natural oils dries out your skin and makes it look more wrinkled. The fat in the deeper layers of your skin is diminished. This results in sagging skin and more visible lines and cracks.

2. Smoking and Drinking Soda: Smoking can speed up the natural aging process of your skin, contributing to the appearance of wrinkles.

3. Exposure to Ultraviolet Rays: UV rays, which speed up the natural aging process, are the main cause of premature wrinkles. Exposure to UV rays breaks down the connective tissue of your skin - collagen and elastin fibers, which are located in the deeper layer of the skin (dermis). Without the supportive connective tissue, your skin loses strength and elasticity.

4. Frequent Facial Expressions: Facial movements and expressions, such as staring or smiling, cause wrinkles. Each time you use a facial muscle, a pothole forms under the surface of the skin. With age, the skin loses its elasticity and is no longer able to return to its place. Then these grooves become permanent contours on your face.

Over time, the facial muscles will get tighter or shorter around the areas that get severely pinched. Between the skin and the muscle, there is a thin layer of connective tissue or fascia and this can also begin to harden and dry out along the disc patterns.

When we are kids, our faces are often very mobile. Muscles, fascia, and skin can tense but then be drawn into a state of stupor, peace, or deep relaxation for sleep. Then the blood circulation can easily flow through the skin and repair or activate the muscles and skin, restoring the fullness of the baby's face.

The Right Way to Prevent and Get Rid of Wrinkles

Once you know how wrinkles can be formed on the face, you now get to know the right ways for protecting your skin and get rid of them:

Daily Facial Massage:

It is obvious that the best time in life to prevent wrinkles is in your teens. Daily facial massage - especially around areas where wrinkles are seen with different facial expressions - is a real help.

  • Use olive oil, which is similar to your skin and muscles, almond oil if your skin is naturally dry or sensitive, or coconut oil if you'd like.
  • Besides a good rub after washing the face whether, in the morning or evening, we do well to drink enough water to keep the cells hydrated, as well as to avoid garbage food. If you're young or old, start now to preserve that precious face.
  • Let me share with you the mixture I've been using since my thirties and that I believe has helped keep wrinkles on my face from 70 and up In 2 ounces of rose water, add 3 ounces of organic peanut oil, and 2-3 ounces of oil Organic olive oil and a tablespoon of liquid lanolin.
  • Why peanut oil? Peanut oil is food for connective tissue, which we think of a lot about joints. But remember the fascia, the thin connective layer between skin and muscle? This layer helps maintain skin tone and firmness, along with muscle tone. This blend is also ideal as a full-body massage oil, as peanuts help other joints with a certain degree of arthritis prevention, according to Edgar Cayce reading who adapted this formula.)
  • When massaging the forehead, remember that the muscles that suddenly pull the eyebrows up or down in a frown are vertical muscles. These will relax if you rub them, right and left, back and forth. Work upwards to the hairline and down the eyebrows in crisscrossing rubbing motions, targeting the muscles under the skin.
  • Finish by massaging the entire face once with your palms on the cheeks and fingers on the forehead. Imagine blood circulation flowing through all the cells of the skin and muscles, rejuvenating and revitalizing them all.
  • To work on the wrinkles in the forehead and around the mouth, you can follow a general facial massage - which only takes a minute - with a more specific treatment of individual wrinkles.
  • Dip a cotton bud in the oil and press it against the side of the jar so that it does not drip. Using a magnifying mirror or just getting close to the mirror, place the tip at the end of the creases with one hand, and using the fingers of the other hand, open the creases. Press deeply into the creases with light forward and backward motions along the creases to show blood circulation along that exact line.

There is an interesting cosmetic treatment for wrinkles that does the same thing. Using forceps, small threadlike needles are inserted along the creases to remove blood from where it was compressed. But you can do the same with essential and nourishing oil. It takes time, some patience, and a lot of love.

Daily beautification of your precious face:

  • With the morning or evening regimen, wash first with a gentle soap/cream/cleansing lotion, either using a good-fiber towel or a circle of sponge or loofah to wash away dead skin cells. Use a deep circular motion on the forehead, cheeks, chin, and throat.
  • Never press or rub around the eyes or the temples. The tissues of the skin around the eyes are very delicate and can be torn easily with extreme pressure. It is good to appreciate the smile lines around the eyes because they are just positive lines on the face.
  • Taking three to five minutes to wash your face at night is never a waste of time. When you leave makeup on your face all night, your skin absorbs most of it.
  • Avoid rubbing your face vigorously. Use a water-based wipe to clean your face before you go to bed, then finish your wash with some cool water splashing on your skin.
  • If you feel the film is still covering the skin - like many commercial soap products - get another brand. Castile soaps are generally considered gentle cleansers and do not leave any coating or residue on the leather.
  • Dry the face and put a small amount of the oil that you rubbed on the palm of your hand. (The mixture I described above should be shaken each time, the contents are separated since no unwanted chemical emulsifiers are added.)

Use Coconut and Aloe Vera Oil

Coconut oil is a natural emollient. Showing some love to your skin with coconut oil not only makes it smoother but also helps it retain moisture, making your face look plumper. As an added bonus, coconut oil has been studied as a trusted source and found to be an effective treatment for dry skin.

Stop Smoking and Drinking Soda

Smoking is bad for your health for many reasons, but many people don't know that it can age your face prematurely. One fascinating study compared the faces of 79 pairs of identical twins in which one had a smoking habit and the other did not. The striking differences in their ages indicated that smoking did not affect the condition of your facial skin.

Try to stop smoking even if you've smoked heavily for years, you can still improve your skin texture and prevent wrinkles by quitting smoking.

Eat a Healthy Diet

Eating a healthy diet that contains can help protect your skin. More study is needed on the role of nutrition, but it is a good idea to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Avoid ultraviolet light

UV rays are the ultimate cause of most wrinkles on the face, neck, arms, and hands. And while UV rays can't be completely avoided, there are steps you can take to reduce the degree of exposure you receive.

  • Choose a sunless tanning lotion over long sunbathing sessions in the sand.
  • Wear a hat that protects your face from the sun during long periods outdoors.
  • When possible, wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts when venturing outdoors. It will still absorb some of the sun's rays, but it won't contribute to wrinkles on your skin.

Conclusion

To sum up, Wrinkles are formed by age, smoking, exposure to ultraviolet lights, and frequent facial expressions. However, there are still solutions to help you protect your skin and get rid of wrinkles on the face. By using daily massage and beautification of your precious face, Coconut, and Aloe Vera Oil, quit smoking and eat a healthy diet.
